I made my way to Ironside with a couple of friends simply for dinner. It just so happened Ironside was having a Ladies Who Shuck event. There was a lot of press on the news about this event so I knew it was going to be more crowded than usual.
I'm just going to say exactly how I feel about today's dinner. The oysters was fat and juicier than normal, which was a great thing. I slept on their Soft Shell Crab Benny and I was afraid I missed my chance but Jason Mcleod confirmed they had it on the menu for tonight. There was a lot of pretty ladies in the building, of course I have to mentioned that. The last time I had a great Bloody Mary was at the San Diego airport, heard some good things about Ironside's Bloody Mary so I ordered one. Got damn that shit was delicious! I'm officially hooked! Topped with a shrimp and oyster garnish, don't ask me how much it cost because I didn't even look.
My favorite seat in the restaurant has to be the bar seat. Its close to the liquor and beer and also you just end up making friends people next to you and share multiple conversation with others. Most of the time we talk about food, and sometimes you get people from out of town so you get learn new things about where they are from. The down part about the bar seat was on a busy night like tonight, people hover around you like vultures waiting to take your seat. You can lose some elbow space sometimes. Tonight I met up with an old co-worker of mine, she's a headache sometimes but we maintained our friendship outside of work. She's pretty damn cool which is why I kept her around, and we LOVE to eat!!
