I've heard a lot of mixed feelings about Crack Shack but that didn't deter me from trying it out myself. Crack Shack is a Fried Chicken and Egg joint with outdoor seating and a full bar. Located on Kettner BLVD next door to Juniper & Ivy where you can be entertained by the fancy cars in J&Ivy valet and the planes flying over head for landing. I was in the area for a nice short run after hitting weights in the gym. I parked my car at Crack Shack and told my cousin to meet me at Crack Shack at 6:30 for dinner. Yes I know, not a great post work out meal but this is why I work out so much, so I can eat all these good food without blowing up like a balloon.
After running 4 miles I was staring at the menu while my body cools down, with my jaws dropped to the floor and eyes wide open. Not because of the food on the menu, the prices!! Hahaha. Well you see, price tag on food doesn't mean anything to me versus price tag on clothing or material things. I would pay any dollar amount just as long it makes me curse my ass off when I take my first bite. So did Crack Shack make me curse like a wild whore? Yeah it did. I ordered the 5 piece fried chicken and it was seasoned and cooked so well. It was juicy all the way to the bone. Not a lot of places that offer fried chicken is that juicy. So to justify the prices, it definitely had quality and the chicken was probably free roaming chicken or something but I don't give a fuck, just make me something good and I'll pay $15 for them 5 pieces.
