What's Jappaning Now Pt. 4 (Chicken Shack)

With three hours of sleep last night I can feel the earth move alllllll day! Damn I'm so tired! I'll catch up on some sleep tonight though. I stayed up late to finish the last blog post then slept for a little and woke up at 6AM to clean up the house and pack up for Hiroshima. We had breakfast at Mc Donald's, had the McGriddle but it had Cheese and Egg in it. Wait, I can't remember what the US one has but I think it's a bit different. I cannot wait to go back for lunch and get their Big Mac and Curly fries, they also have Teriyaki Burger which I will have to try. Took the bullet train ride out for one hour and a half. Took a short nap on the train that made me more tired than I was haha. Today was a really mellow day. Not a lot of shopping or busy streets, we came out here to visit our friend Jay and his wife Kim, they are some of the friendliest people we know. Always a pleasure seeing the two. So we took a long walk in the Kintai park, talked, caught up, reminisce about our lives, checked out the park and temples and fed the ducks and Koi fishes. It was just a relaxing kind of day and away from the busy city life. Cool breeze, cold water, wind blowing through the trees and fresh air, this is what us city boys/girl needed man. After that we went to Jay house, finally get to see Kim in Japan because last time we were in Japan she had work and couldn't visit us in Tokyo but now we came to their home. We went to dinner at a place called Chicken Shack, not sure if that is even the official name because it's in Japanese. It felt extremely authentic. Must take shoes off and sit on the floor to eat. Sitting on the floor was rough for me because one, I'm still over weight, non flexible but I must experience this the way it need to be experience it , the Japanese way. The chicken was served on a a bamboo stick and some kind of sauce which was just so damn fucking good I can't even begin to express how good it was. My friends, you have to try this shit if you're ever in town! We cooked our own thin sliced beef and ate their delicious gyoza, and ramen. And now we're currently drinking a bottle of Hibiki whisky inside of Jay's house and reminiscing some more. Great fucking time! I'm truly blessed to be surrounded by great people but I appreciate the hard times that took me here, good things don't come easy my friends, when it does come,

Took this photo at the train station, Robert asked "wtf you doing?" and I said, "I'm making art." Haha.

The castle at Kintai Park, unfortunately it was closed. We actually had to pay to cross the antique bridge though.

Grilled cabbage was surprisingly fucking good! With a sprinkle of salt and pepper, some of the red spicy shakers and it's the business! Who would've thought.
