This will be the last blog post from my recent trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico ya'll. It was such a great experience and the most relaxing vacation I've ever taken. Ever since I got back home I've been thinking about where to go next. I would really love to experience this type of vacation again but in a different country. Maybe in Mexico again but in a different area. I'm not sure if I mentioned where we stayed. We stayed at Paradisus Playa Del Carmen La Esmeralda, a 5 star hotel right on the beach. Great memories were made on this trip, I value great memories so I will hold that with me forever. I am thankful to be apart of this vacation of theirs.
Sunday was technically our last day so we went out and explored the town a little bit. Took the taxi and got dropped at a shopping trip. Saw Nike near by, I wanted to shop there but we ran out of time. It was a nice short walk and then grabbed a snack because the kids were hungry. I tried not to eat too much because we ( the adults) have a triple date Sunday evening at Bana, a sushi restaurant. I wanted to make sure I have enough room for some tasty sushi! I love sushi!! It randomly rained on us too, right after we were seated at a restaurant for snacks. Evening came quick so we went back to the hotel, showered and got dressed. The kids got dropped off at the Kid Zone, which is their day care. Pretty awesome for a hotel to have that, I had no idea they even offered that kind of service! But I shouldn't be surprised since Ikea has one, even the gym.
Sunday evening, date night. Started off by getting a couple of drinks at the bar while the men joke about who can drink the most and the women basically were the responsible and sober ones. I was afraid they would have three more kids to baby sit by the rate we were going. Surprisingly, we drank a lot, but didn't get drunk. I think I might've just sweated it all out by the time it got into my system. I took them over to the adult side of the hotel La Perla to check it out and hang out at the bar. The bar closed when we got there, and they too felt that side was a bit boring. It gets quiet on that side when the sunset. We thought it's because they spend all day drinking and by night fall they take naps and probably go out to enjoy the night life. I think the hotel has a lounge where people can drink and dance. We made it over to Bana at 6:30 PM, got a cool table away from other people. Separated by the cool interior designed fence/wall type of shit. We ordered this some appetizers, Rock Shrimp (bomb), Edamame, some sushi roll (some were good some were blah). I thought the sushi rolls were the main course but I guess it was appetizers. Some order Udon noodles and the other was some Pad Thai type of noodles with shrimp. Odd dish coming from a sushi restaurant but oh well, it was good. The waiter offered us their special lobster roll that was not inclusive. $45 USD, considering this was our first dinner together, first vacation together, could be the last (who knows), so I ordered that to celebrate this good time. Sergio doesn't eat seafood or lobster, but he ate some for some reason, and liked it! We all shared it, I wanted it to be my treat but Josh and Sergio wouldn't allow me to pay for it on my own, thanks guys! Bro Code!
And that was it, just like that the trip was over. Spent Monday packing, we did grab breakfast and lunch together one last time. To Sergio and his family, Josh and his, Lupita, thanks for having me join you guys, you are all awesome!
