I must be out of my fucking mind! The last time I waited two hours or so was in San Francisco for breakfast. Man, I remember it was good, but not a two hour wait good! I found myself in Kearny Mesa doing the exact same thing, after I said to myself, "never wait again."
Friday evening, KC and I had plans to hit up Cutwater, but I got a text from Maggie who I haven't seen in a while and we had a lot of catching up to do. She asked if I wanted to get some ramen at the new spot, that has a long as wait. Well, with all the hype around this place I was down to see what it was all about. Even Andrew Zimmern said that this could be the best Ramen joint in America. So that was the plan for Friday and KC was down with it. I got off work, hit the gym for an hour cardio to prepare myself for a feast, then KC and I killed some time at Bullpen with some cocktails and Fried Calamari. I put our name down at 6 PM and we didn't get seated till 8ish. Our name was called but we fucked around Daiso for way too long and missed it.
Now time for Ramen!!! Was it worth the wait? Sure, their ramen was fucking delicious, but would I do it again, umm maybe not. We have other ramen joints in SD that is just as good and less of a wait. We each ordered Ramen, then we ordered one cold ramen Tan Tan for all of us to try. Some fried chickn, Gyoza, and Fried Tempura Ice Cream. I have no idea what the ice cream taste like but everyone else loved it.
