I stayed up late last night writing up a post and drank the beers we bought from Friday night so it won't go to waste. The universe must've not liked what I had to say so my computer crashed and erased everything. I even saved a draft, the titled was saved a day prior to my writing, I don't know man. I'll have to email Square Space about their site not saving drafts manually or automatically. I'm paying $212 a year for the damn site.
Anyways! As you know we're here in Las Vegas to explore the food game. Woke up Saturday morning first thought I had was, "where we gonna eat?" I was pretty tired, I didn't sleep well. I never sleep well when I'm away from home. And I get homesick, also the hardest part about traveling is flying. I'm terrified of flying. But, I won't let none of that stand in my way. And you already know we didn't fly out this time, we drove. But just saying, don't let anything get in the way of what you want to do, Just Do It" -Nike. Hahaha. Dook suggested we check out Yardbird for their Fried Chicken. He love his Fried Chicken. Yardbird is located in our hotel, not far away. Once we got there we almost didn't eat there. We didn't see anything else appealing but I think it was the price that always made me walk away. The dishes were about $18 to $36 each. Then the hostess came up to us and told her they are known for their Fried Chicken etc. Whatever she said to me sold me so good job! She did her job well and I'm glad she did because it was the best Fried Chicken I've ever had!! I love it better than Farmers Brown in SF, Crack Shack in SD which was or may still be number 1 in SD. Yardbird chicken was flavorful, crispy, hella juicy on the inside. It had flavor all the way down to the bones! I got the half chicken with watermelon and waffles. The waffle on the other hand tasted like nothing I had before, tasty little motherfuckers. Robert ordered the deviled eggs, you can tell he was hungry (that was a joke). Rhandy ordered the Fried Chicken Biscuit and Gravy. We shared our dish so everyone can have a taste. I definitely love this place and will come back to when we're in Las Vegas again.
