After having dinner at Tacos El Gordo we headed over to the Human Catalyst shop. This was the reason why we were in Chula Vista. Stillo the owner of Rottweiler Brand had his pop up shop last night, on his birthday! So I had to come through to show some love and support. Stillo is a part of the Suav crew. I met him when I met Rossi Rock. His all gang showed up when I did an interview on Rossi a while back and Rossi has been working hard ever since. He wasn't working alone though, his whole team has been backing him up and brands such as Rottweiler came about. Their whole crew all bring some skills to the table, that's how you succeed. It's great to see them doing well and importantly, consistent. Rottweiler just came out with the stripe shirt with ROTT printed on it, I fell in love with that shit and surprisingly it's the first piece I ever bought from Stillo. Dollar well spent.
I had the pleasure to finally visit the Human Catalyst shop and chopped it up with the owner Russell. It's crazy to see him bloom from an online store as well. I would see him at car events with his booth selling his clothes, now he got a store in Chula Vista, on Third Ave. There is something special about this area. Once a quiet unknown spot to some of SD people and tourist, Downtown Chula Vista is growing and becoming the new spot to chill. Russell was telling me how there was close to nothing when he first opened. He's been opened for three years now and the place is filled with Breweries, Coffee shops, restaurants, some old school shops still exist on the block. Russell basically watched this hood grow. Third Ave is also new to me, so many breweries and restaurants for me to try. I'm hardly in Chula Vista, but as of recently I've been traveling to Chula because of my ex lady lives down there. Other than that I never had any business to be in Chula Vista but with this going on, me and my brother will make the effort to visit all these breweries and restaurants, to experience Chula Vista like we never did before. I've done North Park, I've done Point Loma, Encinitas, Barrio Logan, Downtown SD, La Jolla etc etc, but now, Chula Vista, here we come!!
