There’s a back story to why this is happening, but I feel I’ve mentioned too many times already and it has become old news to me, maybe to you too, and I think it’s no longer important anymore. Left that in 2018, so now 2019, I’m finally moving out on my own into my old house that I grew up in. I love this house! I was raised in this house, so many great memories, I lost my virginity in this house haha. I’m hoping to raise a family in this house one day, but for now, It’ll be my ultimate bachelor pad with a photo studio.
The house was built in the 70’s, we changed the floor maybe once, painted the house maybe three times before. Some of the poor condition of house remained the same for over two decades. That’s a record!! I’m going to change all that and fix this house up myself, to my style, upgrade some things, though my parent will NOT agree to some of the things I’m doing to it, I’m going to do it anyways. My ideas and my parents idea clash very hard, that’s another story I don’t need to get into. So with the help from my brother and some close family members, we’re gonna fix this house up!!
It’ll be a slow process since I can only get some work done pay check to pay check. When I run out of paint or supplies, I would have to wait to get paid to buy more to continue the renovation. So I spent alot of time removing the popcorn off the ceiling, which cost no money at all, well maybe a little. We sanded the walls and ceiling down, we painted inside of the house and we’re about 55% done. Still need a new bathroom and kitchen. Dining room is just waiting on paint. My first big purchase for the house was a garage door. I didn’t take a photo of how it look cuz I’m planning to paint the exterior as well and I rather show the perfect after photo to follow up with how the house look like now and you’ll see it in this post.
It’s been exactly 28 days of remodeling, and this is the result so far.
Stay tuned for part 2.
