Straight out of San Diego. This album is hard Pnut.
Started off my Saturday just right! Took a cruise to Mt Laguna and it was the fastest and most exciting run so far. The more we go on these drive the faster we travel through the turns. My cousin vivi joined my brother Dook today to see what this is all about. So much fun!
Just finished up with Food Porn shoot with Anna and we played around with her digital camera in my studio to produced these amazing photos of her. She doesn’t model, she’s a photographer actually. How did I get her to model for me? We have a mutual friend, Jasmine. Who modeled for me for Food Porn 2, and Jasmine was a headline model. I guess that’s how Anna heard about Food Porn, and it’s been a huge honor to work with some new faces and some I’ve never met till our shoot. I didn’t even know what Anna looked like when I scheduled to shoot with her today. This is a taste of how Food Porn 3 will be. We shot Anna eating pasta topless in my living room.
After the shoot I did some test shots in the studio with her digital camera, a Sony 7R. Yes, I shot these with a digital camera and I’ve been avoiding digital for so long and I think I like it ya’ll!
This is my GoFundMe. Thank you so much for your support.
Aiming for middle or late Summer. Still got a few shoots to do but my time is running out so I may have to cut it off soon to prep for the show. I got a lot of time but not a lot of money, reason why the shoot takes a while and to those I haven’t shot I hope we get to shoot for this series but if not I’ll continue to shoot for Volume 4 soon after the show. I’m not dodging y’all.
I’m still trying to adjust to this Vertigo bullshit that I had no idea many of my peers has, my balance is still off and the ringing in my ear is driving me crazy! No sleep, feels like depression is just creeping in but I’m trying to stay positive and optimistic and accept what’s coming. But it’ll take some time of course. Anyways, here’s another random post of shadows from my walk.
Shot at my studio by 18th Element.
New album coming soon.
I thought I hate running but running with my homie Rhandy is pretty fun, especially running in such a beautiful place like La Jolla. Photography helps making it fun too. I would do a lot of stops (unfortunately) to take photos. Sometimes I don’t even post them, but as long I’m out there running and burning calories I’m good.
There’s a restaurant on the corner where we park every Tuesday, not sure if they closed down or just renovating but it is now White and Black. It’s beautiful!! I’ve decided to paint my house white with portion of the house all black. I didn’t go with the all black route because I know it’s going to be a hot summer in San Diego.
Also, I love what we do after the run. We take these funny post run photos.
A random post cuz I love A1 sauce so much! And I thought it was a cool iPhone photo.
I love this song! I had no idea a visual for it was out. SUPER MOOD.
I feel so refreshed after having such a great weekend. My friend Bryan came down from LA to stay over at The Haus for the weekend. We ate some really good food, did some shopping at swap meet (twice!!), had some really good drinks. I had no incident at The Haus this time but the fear of being there alone still scares me.
I don’t know, the whole vibe of the weekend was just perfect, with the right amount of people around me, the people I love. I don’t have photos of my Sunday lunch but I spent Sunday afternoon with my family. I’m going to have my family over for the first time this Easter Sunday so I’m excited about that.
A couple of friends of mine came down from Esco for dinner. They came with gifts, the gifts are not for me but a gift is a gift and I greatly appreciate it. They gave me 3 joints and a Weed Wine. They did bring lemons and Thai Chili Peppers for me too! I can use that.
Anyways, I found some dope stuff at Kobey’s!
Before I get into what this post is about, other than “Shadows.” A friend of mine was talking about photography and not having time to shoot. Its the conversation I’ve had countless time with aspiring photographers. And most of the time, I hear excuses. To them, it’s a reason why they can’t shoot, to me, they are excuses. But I get it, I understand all angles. To some, photography is a new hobby, or a tool to interact with people, to create art, to capture memories, some may use it for sinister reasons (yall need to stop that). But the truth is, if you have to force yourself to shoot, maybe its not really you, but a hobby you want to dabble in. And there’s nothing wrong with that, being aware of that is even better. So you won’t be so hard on yourself, and put yourself down or struggle so much. Because it’s all about discovering yourself. You’re going to get into new things (many different things) before you figure out what you really like to do, or want to be in life.
I explained that if you really wanna do something, you should just do it. And if its natural, you would just do it, effortlessly. Forcing anything ain’t good either, just gotta let it happen.
Ya’ll already know who I am, what I love to do. There were times where I didn’t shoot for years B. There were times where I didn’t have time to shoot. I’ve quit photography before and it found me again. Took me years to find myself, it was the pressure of life, society, what was expected of me from my parents, and photography was not the career choice my parents agreed to. Well guess what, they were all right, I don’t shoot for a living (which I’m still working towards to be, a paid photographer). I got a regular job, I shoot on the side out of pleasure. Just now, at age 35 I finally figured out what I want to do with photography. But right or wrong, I’m still shooting, at any chance I get, at 35 I finally feel like my photography is starting to pay off.
Shot these at work as I was walking around, with my iPhone.
Yoooo!!! I’m so excited with how the house is coming along. It’s been a dream of mine to have a space to myself and to look this nice! I’m so geeked out right now! Huge shout out to everyone that has been helping me and to the resellers for giving me such a great deal on these things, much love! The house is almost ready for a house warming party!!
I feel refreshed, happy, fortunate, and blessed. This year is definitely my year! Great things happening, great things to come, year of the Pig!
So some of yall may know my recent purchased from Salvation Army and Swap meet (if not you’ll see it on my old post, scroll down). I bought more stuff Sunday but the crazy part was, I was sitting inside of June Shine looking through my phone. And a woman in front of me shouted my name so I looked up, I didn’t recognize her but then she points to her left and a friend of mine was staring right at me. It was Jaclyn from back in the days, she’s was trying to get my attention the whole time.
We did some catching up over drinks and ended up talking about my new house and the recent luck I’ve been having with the house and she brought up her friend who sells used Mid Century Modern furniture. She happen to have a set of Benny Linden dining chairs that is worth $1200 but the sticker price was set at $695. She was selling it on Facebook for $195 on Facebook. Benny Linden is the chair I recently bought, these were different but still a great piece and great price. Since I was a friend of Jac, she sold it to me for $175 for four chairs! I can easily flip these but I’m already attached to me.
So crazy, I haven’t seen Jac in a while, like a long time, and it felt like we ran into each other for a reason hahaha. Whatever makes me sleep better at night for buying a lot of stuff for the house. Thanks Jac for the plug, Thanks Cristina Rivera of Mid Mod Kitsch (IG: @midmodkitsch) for hooking me up.
Stillo of Rottwlr and Psycat clothing brand was the first to rent the studio! It was a pleasure having them over today. Very professional, energetic, and respectful. Hit me up if you’d like to rent some studio time.
Today was such a good day y’all! I’m came up today!! I went to Kobey’s to search for a table or book shelf again. I didn’t find anything but I did get a small magazine rack made out of leather and wood for $10.
Then I went to Salvation Army right down the street because I had to pee really bad but low key wanted to shop around. I found a beautiful wooden table but the price tag was too high for thrift shopping. Then I found a beautiful chair I instantly fell in love with and couldn’t walk away, I tried! It didn’t have a price tag so I asked a guy how much is the chair. He took a minute to look at it, punched in some numbers and told me $60. I said no thanks and walked away but something told me to stay. I went to sit on the chair and do some research. After finding out the chair is worth $400 each I thought $60 wasn’t so bad so I went to pay.
The guy who quoted me wasn’t there anymore so I played dumb and asked the lady, how much for the chair. She quoted me $18 plus 25% everything in the store. I got the fucking chair for $13.50 y’all! Fuck yes !!!! So I loaded that shit up in my car immediately and since I had left over money I bought the table too. Boom!
Oh yeah, got a new laptop too, woohoo!
Fried chicken in bed is always a good idea.
Music producer all the way from Pasadena in town to work on some music with Rossi Rock. Fly and His crew supports SD hard. Made some dope beats for Rossi, meanwhile Stillo making house calls with Rottweiler Clothing as each of Fly’s crew copped something. On top of that Fly hired me to shoot some photos of him before heading back home. These photos look so much cooler with a little bit of edit. The only edit I did on these are the graphics on them.
