Took a break from shooting Food Porn but I can’t help but to shoot something. Shot with the beautiful Hailey once again for fun, played around with the shadows. Which was once considered an enemy, I never wanted to shoot in harsh light and shadows, always shot in the shade or cloudy days.
I took some photos with my Canon AE1 a while ago, of this big meeting with Rossi, 24hrs, and Rostrum Records to finalize a deal. Great news though, the deal went through. So congratulation to Rossi on that big win. However, Rossi slipped up by dropping these off to Nelson Photos to get it developed and never picked them up. I picked it up while I was there trouble shooting my camera with the staffs today.
Aleesii posted her outfit on her Instagram story and I loved the way she looked. DM’d her, told her I love that look and we need to shoot that shit, so we met up later in the afternoon to bick it and shoot some pictures. Shot with my Nikon F5 with my new 50mm lens.
The first time I had CoCo was in Japan, last year in Osaka and I’m happy to know we have one in California too! Irvine to be exact, and they are just as good!! I ordered the Fried Chicken Omelette and Dook order the Teriyaki Chicken Curry.
I was told The Hat was a good place to eat in Temecula since I was looking for something good to eat out there. I finally tried it over the weekend and never have I ever take two bites and called it quits haha. I’ve had bad food before and finished it anyways. But this time, I just didn’t like it enough to continue eating. I had the Pastrami Sandwich and the Roast Beef Dip. The Wet fries was cool, portion was large and became too salty to continue. Onion rings was not bad but I already lost my appetite to continue, sadly, I didn’t finish my dinner ya’ll.
I had a pretty eventful weekend. Had some family in town from Long Beach and Oakland. I stayed out pretty late Friday evening to spend some time with them since I won’t be in town Saturday and Sunday. The only thing I took pictures of to post on the blog are the food. I’ll just keep everything else I did private since it’s mostly family stuff anyways.
Saturday morning before leaving for Temecula, my cousin Lennon a.k.a The Thug Blogger went out for breakfast. Randomly picked a location and ended up at Spill the Beans. I’ve seen it before but never been. All they really have are bagels and coffee. I never had a fancy bagel before so we ordered the Lox. This was my first time having the Lox, I’ve always hated smoked Salmon cuz they taste a little fishy. I admit, the Lox was pretty damn good though.
Filmed and edit by Taylor Robertson. Music by Rossi Rock featuring Eddie Zuko.
Thank y’all soooo much for coming out to my third Food Porn show. A year worth of work broken down to a 3 hour show at 5&A Dime. Huge thank you to 5&A Dime for taking me into their family and supported me through out the years of our friendship. Friday evening was a huge success! I had no idea I can pull a crowd that big, it was a full house, full backyard(parking lot), and side walk! There were even people I didn’t know that showed up. The shirts sold out within an hour, my proudest collab thus far. I’ve always wanted to collaborate with 5&A Dime on their stack logo for such a long time and it finally happened! I’ve only seen them do that with big street wear brands and important people so the fact that they did this with me tells me I’m doing well for myself. I lack confidence and unaware of what I’m capable of and never feel good enough for anything but I keep trying-no, I keep doing it anyways. That shirt was one of my biggest accomplishment in my life.
Here are some photos taken by a friend and the video recap is currently being worked on. Enjoy!
Thanks again for all the love and support!
I have some behind the scene photos of the night we spent hanging the prints. Jason (owner of 5&A Dime) came up with how it can or should be hung on the wall and did all the math and measurements for me. Well, the truth is we collaborated with the hanging process but I was leaving most of it to Jay since it was his shop and we had to move things around for my photos.
Jay came up with the concept to line them up across the wall. Spread them from one end to the other, and I loved it! it was how I would’ve wanted to display my work. Luckily most of my photos were vertical and I only had four horizontal images which made it so much easier to hang them. My good friend David got off of work early so he came through to help. I normally won’t allow others to be around when I’m “working” cuz its an distraction, but David really helped out a lot Thursday evening. I had a couple of friend from LA in town as well and they didn’t wanna go home (my house) yet so they wanted to come to the shop to hang while we worked. It was great company, they weren’t in the way at all. Even brought beers and food!
New design coming soon. For all my Honda people.
Available August 2nd, at the Food Porn Vol. 3 show.
Join me at El Camino and celebrate with me August 2nd, after my Food Porn photo show. It’s free! Early arrivals is highly recommended! It gets super busy.
I just discovered this artist yesterday and I love her music so much! Added multiple of her songs to my Food Porn Vol. 3 playlist to play at my next show. I especially love this song.
Yesterday sunset was mad beautiful. Unfortunately I didn’t make the effort to going outside to enjoy it. I was sitting in my living room, staring out of the window (as I always do) and I can see the colors in the sky. I had no idea there was a rainbow either. I saw some pictures on social media and they sunset and rainbow looked magical, makes me wonder if there’s anything supernatural happening on earth that us humans can’t see.
Mikey went out to enjoy the outdoors and took some pictures of his car and his son Baluga (I hope I spelled his name right). No edit, no filter, all natural, the lighting and color was provided by nature. Sooooo beautiful!
Something small, but a huge impact on my life.
I miss taking random pictures of stylish people on the streets. I did a little of that this weekend.
I just bought a 50mm lens for my Nikon F5 and shot with it for the first time this weekend. Love the results! Shot Lisse at Tahiti Felix tattoo shop.
The term “STooK” stands for s2k, first used by my homie Brandon Hoffman, when he first blogged about me in 2009. And I’m using it again cuz I can’t think of a title lol. And I love it.
Went for a drive this weekend and did something a little different. We took the usual road to Mt. Julian but made a left to Wynola Rd for their super tight turns and lots of whiny road. It was tough, fun, scary, and a lot of work changing gears and taking fast turns, a full body workout!
